They may very well mean that they do not mean to undergo surgery, or wear clothing and make-up that suits teenagers, or color their hair... That they are essentially not planning to be in denial about their age, as some celebrities seem to be. It doesn't necessarily mean they want to get as wrinkly as possible.


I just knew someone would take this post the wrong way. I meant it very tongue and cheek. I guess my lame attempt at humor. The apple thing just seemed really funny to me.

I think you are absolutely correct in that people want to reject the celebrity ideal, but we still pay attention to them like a car accident.

I guess the major thing I pulled from the article is that, just as the beauty lies to us with their marketing programs, the public may be lying back to them. Just seems like a vicious cycle.
